Mumbai Power Needs Revive Jaitapur Nuclear Project

Mumbai's increasing energy demands have prompted renewed interest in the Jaitapur nuclear power project. The proposed project could generate significant electricity. However, it faces numerous hurdles, including concerns from local residents about environmental and safety issues.

The project could reduce dependence on imported fuels by promoting indigenous nuclear technology.

According to the Times of India, the project's potential to address Mumbai's power needs has put it back in focus.
