Police detain classmate who knew of Lohagad Fort murder plot

Police investigating the death of Ketan Agarwal have taken a significant step in their probe by detaining a youth from Beed district who is believed to have prior knowledge of the alleged murder plan. The suspect, identified as a classmate of prime accused Chetan Chaudhary, was brought in for questioning after investigators determined he may have been confided in about the conspiracy.

According to police sources, both Chetan Chaudhary and Siya Goyal reportedly disclosed details of their alleged plot to this youth before carrying out the crime. While the detainee reportedly advised against committing the act, he reportedly maintained contact with both accused individuals after Agarwal's death on June 18 at Lohagad Fort. The police believe this communication pattern could provide crucial leads in understanding the sequence of events and potential conspiracy details.

Ketan Agarwal fell to his death from Lohagad Fort in Lonavala on June 18, with investigators suspecting foul play rather than a simple accident. The case took a significant turn when police arrested Chetan Chaudhary and Siya Goyal, who are now the primary suspects in connection with the incident. Police allege the two had planned to kill Agarwal and orchestrated the fatal fall from the popular tourist destination.

This development suggests a broader network may have been involved in or aware of the alleged conspiracy. The detention of the classmate indicates police are pursuing all angles and examining whether others facilitated or enabled the accused. Investigators are examining phone records and statements to determine the exact nature of conversations and any additional involvement.

The case continues to draw attention as police methodically build their evidence against the accused. The third party's interrogation could prove instrumental in establishing premeditation and planning stages of the alleged crime, potentially strengthening the prosecution's case.
