Rajnath Singh Meets Philippine Defence Secretary
India and Philippines reaffirm Indo-Pacific partnership. Defence cooperation discussed.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh met with Philippine Secretary of National Defence Gilberto C Teodoro Jr. in Cebu, Philippines. They reviewed ongoing defence cooperation and discussed ways to strengthen their strategic partnership, focusing on maritime security and joint defence production.
India remains committed to a free, open, and inclusive Indo-Pacific region, according to Singh. The Indian Army has donated a Virtual Reality-Based Combat Medical Care Simulator to the Philippine Army, which was symbolically marked by a formal turnover during the meeting.
Singh also held talks with other defence ministers, including those from the US, South Korea, and Singapore, to review bilateral defence cooperation and explore opportunities for co-developing military technologies.
The meetings were held on the sidelines of the ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting-Plus in Cebu, Philippines. Singh is scheduled to represent India at the ADMM-Plus and address shared regional and international security concerns.
