Jupiter Wagons Wins ₹1,140 Crore Railway Order

Jupiter Wagons Limited has secured an order worth ₹1,140 crore from the Ministry of Railways to manufacture and supply 2,583 wagons.

The company will supply two types of wagons: BOXNHL and BOXNS.

Jupiter Wagons expects to receive additional orders worth approximately ₹2,000 crore in the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2027.

The Ministry of Railways has also issued a tender for 5,800 BOBRN wagons, which could further increase demand for the sector.

Vivek Lohia, Managing Director of Jupiter Wagons Limited, stated that the order reflects the Ministry's continued confidence in the company's delivery capabilities.

This order aligns with the Government of India's National Rail Plan to increase railways' share in freight movement.

Jupiter Wagons has a strong private sector order book, supported by demand from private freight operators and core sector customers.

The company has manufacturing facilities in several cities, including Kolkata, Jamshedpur, and Indore, with backward integration into foundry operations.
