NCP Must Review Structure: Saleem Sarang
NCP vice-president Saleem Sarang says party cannot rely on Ajit Pawar's legacy.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) must review its organisational structure, leadership and grassroots connect, said Maharashtra vice-president Saleem Sarang.
He reflected on the Marathwada Graduates’ Constituency election, stating the party cannot rely solely on Ajit Pawar's legacy. Sarang said elections test a party's organisational strength, leadership credibility and relationship with grassroots workers.
Sarang called on the party to uphold the ideals of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, Rajarshi Shahu Maharaj, Mahatma Jyotirao Phule and Dr BR Ambedkar, emphasizing social justice and inclusivity. He questioned the party's internal functioning, stating positions secured through sycophancy cannot build a genuine public base.
Rebuilding the organisation requires respecting loyal workers, providing opportunities to experienced leaders and ensuring transparency in decision-making, he said. Unless the party undertakes honest introspection and implements corrective measures, similar discussions will follow every election without meaningful change.
