MP DGP Kailash Makwana Retires November 30

Madhya Pradesh Director General of Police Kailash Makwana will retire on November 30.

The state government made this decision after rejecting a Police Headquarters proposal to extend his retirement date to December 2.

The proposal was based on Makwana's joining date as DGP, but the home department cited his appointment order, which specified his tenure from December 1, 2024.

With Makwana's retirement confirmed, Varun Kapoor, the current DG Prisons, may be included in the three-member DGP panel, alongside Upendra Jain and Pragya Richa Shrivastava.
