Madhya Pradesh government transfers 12 IPS officers, including SPs of 5 districts.

The Madhya Pradesh government has transferred 12 IPS officers, including the superintendents of police of five districts.
The transfers were made due to administrative and law and order problems in the state. The government removed the collectors of Narmadapuram and Harda because of farmers' protests. Now, it has also removed the SPs of both districts.
The SP of Narmadapuram, Sai Krishna Thota, has been transferred as AIG of the police headquarters. The SP of Harda, Shashank, has been sent as AIG of PHQ. The SP of Panna, Nivedita Naidu, has been sent as commandant to Special Armed Force (SAF), Sagar.
Other transfers include the posting of Deepak Shukla as SP of Narmadapuram, Ankit Jaiswal as SP of Harda, and Amit Saxena as SP of Betul. The government has also transferred SP of cyber (Indore) Savyasachi Saraf as SP of Panna.
The transfers are seen as a result of the government's unhappiness with the handling of the farmers' protests and the Ken-Betwa agitation.
The government feels that the protests took place due to administrative lapses. The transfers are aimed at improving the law and order situation in the state.
