Madhya Pradesh Skill Scheme Under Scanner
Alleged fake placements and disputed appointment letters in ₹32.41 crore scheme

A government-funded skill development scheme for Scheduled Caste youth in Madhya Pradesh is under scrutiny over alleged fake placements and disputed appointment letters. The scheme, with an approved outlay of ₹32.41 crore, aimed to train beneficiaries and ensure employment for 70% of them. However, several trainees denied receiving jobs, while two establishments disputed appointment letters attributed to them.
The Madhya Pradesh Employment and Training Council (MAPCET) had selected 34 agencies to train beneficiaries. Trainees from agencies such as Shri Guru Hargovind Society, Centre for Research and Industrial Staff Performance (CRISP), and All India Society for Electronics and Computer Technology (AISECT) denied receiving employment.
Two establishments, Bajaj Service and Navin Shringar Lok, denied issuing appointment letters, disputing their seals and signatures. The scheme had a placement target of 355 to 518 trainees in various roles.
The SC department secretary and commissioner, Satendra Singh, stated that payments were released in three instalments, with the final payment conditional on placement. He said agencies had received payments only for training, not placement, and sought specific cases of allegedly fabricated placement documents for examination.
