Nashik Student Sakshi Jain Tops CA Foundation May 2026 Exam
Sakshi Jain from Nashik secures All India Rank 1 in CA Foundation with 92.75% marks.
The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released its CA Foundation examination results for May 2026, announcing the nation's top performers in the competitive accounting qualification. Sakshi Jain, a candidate from Nashik, emerged as the All India Rank 1 topper, scoring an impressive 371 marks out of 400, translating to 92.75 percent. Her exceptional performance places her at the pinnacle of this year's foundation-level aspirants seeking to build a career in chartered accountancy.
Following Jain's dominant performance, Ayanabbas Ajani and Radha Unmesh Mulay secured the second and third positions respectively in the merit rankings. The results reveal competitive scoring at the top tier, with relatively close margins separating the highest achievers. This indicates that candidates at the peak of the merit list possessed exceptionally strong grasp over the foundation-level curriculum.
The CA Foundation examination conducted in May 2026 witnessed participation from across a broad geographic footprint, with 609 examination centres operational throughout India and internationally. Out of 90,217 registered candidates who attempted the test, 18,124 successfully qualified, representing a 20.09 percent overall pass rate. This metric underscores the rigorous nature of the foundation-level assessment, which serves as the entry point for aspiring chartered accountants in India.
Jain's achievement highlights the growing competition among young professionals pursuing accounting qualifications. The narrow score differentials among the top-ranked candidates suggest that excellence at the foundation level requires comprehensive preparation and conceptual clarity. Her success from a tier-2 city like Nashik also demonstrates that quality accounting education and dedicated preparation transcends geographic limitations.
The ICAI's announcement of these results marks another milestone in India's accountancy profession development. Foundation-level toppers often go on to distinguish themselves in intermediate and final CA examinations, eventually becoming influential members of the accounting fraternity who shape financial governance and audit standards across Indian industries.
